Another Great year of fundraising by our scouts! pack 273 sold a total of $11,279.70 of popcorn products easily beating the $10,000 goal and earning the right to "pie the leaders".

Prizes:

• Individual achievement level prizes earned through individual sales totals will be delivered following the popcorn delivery and will be distributed to the Den Leaders to award to their scouts.
• Fill it up prizes (Timberwolves, Swarm, Waterpark passes) were be distributed with the popcorn, they come in the form of vouchers.
• Free Vikings tickets to the 12/13 Bengals game. Four scouts from our pack received tickets: Jake B., John K., Alex M., and Nathan M..
• Top salesman prize (free mini football signed by Jim Kleinsasser) : Winner Alex L. with popcorn sales of $825!

 What the Popcorn Sales Makes Possible

The popcorn sale plays an important role in financially supporting our pack and the Northern Star Council in providing quality Scouting programs and services.  Popcorn sales are our Pack's largest fund-raiser.  With the money generated from this fund-raiser, we have been able to provide scouting activities and advancement free to our scouts!! 

Sales Tips

Have a sales goal. Have your son look at the prize program brochure and decide what prize level he wants to shoot for.

Your scout can watch the online youth training video available at trails-end.com and use the following script when selling

"Hi, my name is _________ and my pack is selling popcorn to help pay for the fun activities we do.  We're selling delicious Trails End Popcorn.  Can you please help me reach my goal and buy some today?  Thank you very much."

• Wear your uniform
• Smile and tell them who you are- first name only
• Collect money at the time of order
• Tell them you are from Pack 273
• Tell them what you are doing (money earned toward scouting activities and advancement)
• Always thank a customer (even if they are not able to order - thank them for their time)

Safety

• Sell with another scout or an adult
• Never enter anyone's home
• Never sell after dark, unless with an adult
• Don't carry large amounts of cash
• Always walk on sidewalk (when available) and driveways
• Be careful of dogs while selling

Ordering Online

• This year Scouts will self-register to sell Trail's End online. Here are steps on how your Scouts can get started:

  1. Go to http://scouts.trails-end.com and click on "Create an Account".

  2. Create a new account with your unit information. If you are under the age of 13, you will need parental approval to activate your account.

  3. Once your account is created, you will be automatically assigned a Scout ID. This can be found on your profile page. 

  4. Hand out or email your Scout ID to friends and family members. They can then visit www.trails-end.com, enter your Scout ID, and make a purchase on your behalf.

  5. Track your online sales once you are logged into your Scout account on http://scouts.trails-end.com.

  6. Once you sell $250 online, you will earn 10% back in Amazon.com Gift Cards.

  Don't forget! ALL online sales count toward the $1,500 Sellers' Club and College Scholarship!  They do not count toward the Traditional prizes, Fill it up or the Council’s Viking Prizes.
